Curry Public Transit often finds itself in need of people to work either in paid or volunteer positions. Presently we are looking for:
- Drivers:
COASTAL EXPRESS: Friendly, people-oriented, safety-conscious part time drivers needed for various routes between Coos Bay and Smith River. Hours vary from 2 to 7 per day, three days a week. Must have experience driving large vehicles/small buses. Commercial license not required. Experience working with disabled and seniors preferred. Training is provided. Mandatory drug testing and driving record verification. Starts at minimum wage with regular increases.
DIAL-A-RIDE: Friendly, people-oriented, safety-conscious part time drivers needed for on-demand transportation in Brookings or Gold Beach. Five days a week, up to 7 hours a day. Must have experience driving large vehicles/small buses. Commercial license not required. Experience working with disabled and seniors preferred. Mandatory drug testing and driving record verification. Training is provided. Starts at minimum wage with regular increases.
MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION: Friendly, people-oriented, safety-conscious part time drivers needed for on-demand medical transportation in Curry County. Operates five days a week, up to 10 hours/400 miles per trip, driving small bus or van. Must have experience driving large vehicles/small buses. Commercial license not required. Experience working with disabled and seniors required. Mandatory drug testing, fingerprinting and driving record verification. Training is provided. Starts at minimum wage with regular increases.
Volunteer Opportunities:
ON-CALL BUS DRIVERS AND NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORT: Fill in for vacations, medical leaves, or drive short runs as needed -- must pass mandatory drug testing and driving record verification.
OFFICE: Filing, Data Entry, Public Relations, Special Projects.
FUNDRAISING, GRANT WRITING, PR CONSULTANT: Help with ongoing need for public support.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Energetic, interested, involved, dynamic people needed to serve on Curry Public Transit, Inc.'s governing Board of Directors. Meets once a month (or as needed) to review policy, operations, financial positions, fundraising, and to develop long-term guidance and direction. Looking for individuals with community involvement and contacts to help CPTI grow with the region's ongoing needs. |
